A Luoi project – Case study

The project “Strengthening the ethnic minority community’s capacity for forest and biodiversity resources conservation associated with sustainable livelihood development in Sao La Nature Reserve,Thua Thien Hue province” was implemented in 2018 -2019. The project is aimed at raising awareness of local communities on protection and management of forest and ecosystem as well as biodiversity conservation through the culture-based approach; improving skills of people and communities for participation in forest management and protection, biodiversity conservation and livelihood improvement; generating incomes for forest-dependent people by supporting them with market-oriented investments in sustainable livelihood.
